Trundle Beds are a great solution when a spare bed is occasionally needed that doesn't take up full time floor space.
The top bed is a twin bed and hidden underneath is a spare twin bed that can be lifted to the same height as the top bed giving you a king bed (in width) or two separate twin beds.
